thirty-one years old.
originally from Dallas, Texas.
living in Austin, Texas.
currently enrolled at Texas State University, pursuing a BBA in Computer Information Systems.
Howdy! I am Jác Lindley, UNIX IT professional, experienced with working on mission-critical servers in high availability co-location facilities, providing services to businesses all over the world.
I have held many positions during my career, such as a Senior Hosting Administrator and Mentor for EarthLink, as well as Senior Network Operations Center Technician and UNIX Systems Administrator for The Planet (now known as SoftLayer).
I currently perform IT administration and consultation for a number of small businesses located in Ft. Worth and Austin, here in the great state of Texas! I also work part-time at Austin Community College in the Media Services department. Most of my time is spent studying and going to school full-time to acquire my Bachelor’s in Business Administration (Go Bobcats!).
I find that my best qualities would be my resourcefulness, my loyalty, and my obsessiveness for documentation. I enjoy investigating more efficient procedures and seeing them implemented through the teaching and training of my peers. I also enjoy specializing in technologies such as virtualization that ultimately see resources saved, thereby making IT more efficient on the bottom line and less impacting on the world around us.
In my spare time I enjoy mountain biking, geeking out on my laptop and websites, watching movies with my friends and family, grilling outside with a cold one, and researching alternative energy / green movement DIY projects.
